I scanned colonial artifacts at the Independence Living History Center. My work was some of the first of its kind to revolutionize a slow, outdated process of cataloguing ancient artifacts, as well as opened up an opportunity to create virtual interactive exhibits with our 3D scans.
The core of my work revolved around mastering a non-contact 3D laser scanner to scan and digitally preserve ancient artifacts. As seen above, I scanned a fossilized skeleton of the 65 Million-year-old Thoracasaurus. The scans were then used to reconstruct the extinct crocodylian in 3D by Drexel graduate student Evan Boucher. A "Paleo-art" project which won the National Geographic Lanzendorf PaleoArt Prize for Digital Modeling and Animation from the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
Urban Playground is a student-run group that organizes fun improvisational events...better-known as "flash mobs". We have organized such events as massive freezes, a cross-city super-hero runs, international pillow fights, pants-less subway rides, MP3 Experiments, and much more.
Heart of the Island is a first person adventure game for the iPad. The player wakes up on a mysterious island. The player explores, solve puzzles, and makes decisions along the way that have an outcome on the final results. The game innovates upon the mystery/puzzle solving genre by using a "real-time" navigation system by using virtual joy sticks.
